A Cup Full of Gratitude

A Cup Full of Gratitude

As the year winds down and the holiday rush amps up, it’s easy to let our to-do lists outshine our ability to slow down

We move from one day to the next, one email to another, barely stopping long enough to breathe, let alone appreciate the little things.

It’s the busy times like these that we have to remind ourselves to appreciate the small things and be grateful for the season ahead. This doesn’t only get you ready for the holidays but it also helps you enjoy them!

Here at Mighty Beast, we’ve learned that gratitude doesn’t need an hour-long journaling session or a perfect morning routine. Those things are nice, but sometimes, it just needs a cup of coffee.

This month, we want to showcase that pairing a gratitude exercise with your morning cup is a great way to start off the season on the right foot.

Here are three simple ways to slow down, sip intentionally, and infuse your mornings with a little more thankfulness.

Reflect on Three Things You’re Grateful For

Before you jump into the day, take those first few sips to reflect. What are three things, big or small, you’re grateful for today?

Maybe it’s the rich aroma of your freshly brewed Guatemala or it’s the person who made it for you. Maybe it’s something entirely unrelated—sunlight pouring through the window, a quiet house before everyone wakes up, or the warmth of a mug meeting your tired hands.

You don’t need to write them down. Just think of them, savor them, and let them set the tone.

Start a Gratitude Jar

Grab a jar, a mug, or even an empty coffee bag, just anything that can collect a few simple notes.

Each morning, while your coffee steeps or your Unicorn Horn espresso drips, grab a small piece of paper and write down one thing you’re grateful for.

Toss it into the jar, mug, or whatever you chose. Then on days when everything feels heavy, pull out a note and remind yourself: there is always something good.

It’s like brewing joy in advance, easy and simple!

Write a Thank You Note

Gratitude isn’t just something we feel, it’s something we share.

After a long day, it can be hard to be grateful for the small things. Take a minute in the evening, pour yourself a calming cup of our Coffee of the Month, Sugarcane Decaf, and write a thank you note.

It could be for a friend, a coworker, a barista, or even yourself. You don’t have to send it. Just the act of writing it is enough to soften your spirit and leave you ending the day thankful.

Pair a Cup of Coffee with Gratitude

Don’t rush past your coffee tomorrow. Sit with it. Breathe with it. Let it warm more than your hands.

We’re grateful for every bean we roast and for every person who chooses to share a cup with us.

That’s why at Mighty Beast we practice gratitude with every purchase. One dollar of every purchase goes toward the Woolly Farms Foundation to help provide adults with diverse needs and abilities the space and freedom to become active members of our community.

Now as the busy season ramps up, pass it on. Share a little gratitude (and maybe some coffee from Mighty Beast) with a friend.
