Behind The Blend

Lite Bite is a curated blend of African and Central American coffees, roasted just long enough to mellow acidity while maintaining the vibrant, high-quality taste these origins are known for.

The African components bring high-toned florals and citrus while the Central American coffees ground the blend with buttery caramel and soft nutty undertones. The result? A dynamic profile that’s both easy-drinking and full of character.

Brew It Like a Pro

When it comes to making the perfect cup of Lite Bite, it’s all about freshness and grind size. Here's how to make the most of your bag:

First Things First:

  • Start with fresh whole beans
  • Grind right before brewing
  • Use filtered water at the right temp (between 195°F–205°F)
    • Want more citrus and floral?
      → Grind slightly coarser and brew at 205°F to highlight the African beans.
    • Want smoother caramel and nuttiness?
      → Grind a touch finer and brew at 195°F to bring out those Central American roots.
  • Adjust grind size based on brew method

 


Brew Method 1: AeroPress

Quick, smooth, and easy to personalize.

You’ll Need:

  • AeroPress
  • Burr grinder
  • Kettle 

Brew Steps:

  1. Grind 17g of coffee to medium-fine.
  2. Add to AeroPress chamber.
  3. Pour 50g hot water to bloom for 10 seconds.
  4. Add 200g more water, stir, let steep for 1 minute.
  5. Attach cap, flip, and press into a cup over 20–30 seconds.

Brew Method 2: Pour-Over 

Crisp, clean, and flavor-forward.

You’ll Need:

  • Pour-over cone + filters
  • Gooseneck kettle
  • Burr grinder + scale

Brew Steps:

  1. Rinse paper filter with hot water.
  2. Add 20g of medium-ground coffee.
  3. Pour 30–50g water to bloom for 30 seconds.
  4. Slowly add remaining 270–290g in stages over 2.5–3.5 minutes.

Brew Method 3: French Press

Bold and bodied with less equipment fuss.

You’ll Need:

  • French press
  • Burr grinder + scale
  • Spoon or stir stick

Brew Steps:

  1. Add 30g of coarse-ground coffee to the press.
  2. Pour 60g hot water to bloom for 30 seconds.
  3. Add 390g more water, stir gently.
  4. Place lid on top (don’t press yet) and steep for 4 minutes.
  5. Slowly press the plunger down.
